Mexican xerophytic shrubland ecosystem at San Miguel de Allende

When we started working in a apiary for restoring and conserving ecosystems, we visited the place to feeling it and we made a SWOT analysis to looking for floral resources for bees.

The human experience and the SWOT analysis provide us the place´s vocation, the way to work, the number of hives it supports and the inversion we need.

Also we use open Global Information System tools.

Happy goats

We focus on weaknesses as:

- towns and roads

- neonicotinoids contamination

- water resources

- predators

At Mexico is common that the places have been used for grazing livestock and will be necessary fencing the new apiary.
